    32 And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils. 19 And when he had gone a little farther thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets. 12 And immediately the spirit driveth him into the wilderness. 11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 5 And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.

    Four Fishermen Called as Disciples(Y)

    20 But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them,(Q) and on that day they will fast. 44 And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men. 29 And when his disciples heard of it, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb. 24 And she went forth, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? 20 For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly. 13 And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.

    31 So he went to her bedside, took her by the hand, and helped her sit up. Then the fever left her, and she prepared a meal for them. He was in the wilderness and preached that people should be baptized to show that they had repented of their sins and turned to God to be forgiven. 5 All of Judea, including all the people of Jerusalem, went out to see and hear John. And when they confessed their sins, he baptized them in the Jordan River.

    The Baptism and Testing of Jesus(L)(M)

    39 Then Jesus directed them to have all the people sit down in groups on the green grass. 41 Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves.(AM) Then he gave them to his disciples to distribute to the people. 42 They all ate and were satisfied, 43 and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces of bread and fish. 44 The number of the men who had eaten was five thousand. 45 But the man went and spread the word, proclaiming to everyone what had happened. As a result, large crowds soon surrounded Jesus, and he couldn’t publicly enter a town anywhere.

    John Baptizes Jesus(L)

    27 Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, i“What is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.” 28 And immediately His (AM)fame spread throughout all the region around Galilee. 18 For John had been saying to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”(Y) 19 So Herodias nursed a grudge against John and wanted to kill him. 12 They went out and preached that people should repent.(P) 13 They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil(Q) and healed them.

    Jesus Has Risen(A)

    27 And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? For with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him. 21 And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught. 19 When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets. 20 Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.

    31 And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them. 30 But Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her. 26 And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him. 13 And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him. 9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. 7 And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose.

    3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? 12 (R)Immediately the Spirit edrove Him into the wilderness. 13 And He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; (S)and the angels ministered to Him. 39 And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.

    4 John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. 40 A man with leprosy came and knelt in front of Jesus, begging to be healed. “If you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean,” he said. 4 But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. 5 As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe(D) sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. 19 Jesus answered, “How can the guests of the bridegroom fast while he is with them?
